Sponsorship Program Manager

 

Purpose of the Job

 

The Sponsorship Program Managers' role is to establish policies, improve existing processes and methods; will also create, recommend and implement new ideas; work with the donor relations department to ensure implementation; work with the communication department in creating needed materials; design and develop for marketing other smaller initiatives such as Future Leaders.  S/he seeks tangible ways to improve the program, enhance the donor's experience and increase the impact at Coptic Orphans. 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the sponsorship process in the US, manage all sponsorship-related activities in coordination with other offices.
  • Asses the components of sponsorship by continuously updating the sponsor handbook and welcome packets when necessary to improve the sponsorship process.
  • Create new methods for enhancing the relationship between participants and sponsors.
  • Works with the data processing department to enhance the current process of receiving, recording and distributing correspondence between the sponsor children and their sponsors.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

  • Supervise and manage the sponsorship associates in the United States.

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 to 8 years professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a non-profit organization.
  • Proven proficiency in English speaking/writing. Arabic language skills a must.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and managing a program or project and/or marketing.
  • People management experience strongly desired.
  • Creative in problem-solving.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • A passion for the work of the organization that can be communicated to others.

 

Fiscal Responsibilities

 

  • Create and manage the department's budget.

 

Extent of Public Contact (within and outside the organization)

 

  • Contact with staff members both domestically and internationally.

 

Physical Demands (walking, lifting, carrying, etc.)

 

  • Limited to walking and occasional lifting of boxes

 

Working Conditions and Environment (i.e., necessary travel, unusual work hours, etc.)

 

  • Limited travel throughout the US, Egypt, and Canada, at times with little notice.
  • May be required to work extra/off-duty hours when necessary
